They're built to last and ...I love old houses! They're built to last and have far more character than the cookie-cutter designs that are so prevalent today. New houses don't have those stairs that squeak in certain spots. As a kid you try to remember which spots not to step when you're sneaking down or up the stairs. And then, just as we all got comfortable, the pacing would begin upstairs all the way across the house and back again.
